Harry Roque issues halloween weather warning: Stay safe, stay at home

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque urged people to stay indoors due to this year’s strongest Typhoon Rolly.

On Sunday, Roque posted a short clip on Facebook, depicting himself as a Halloween character and advising people to take necessary precautions and measures as Rolly maintained its strength

“Huwag muna lumabas! Alagaan natin ang ating sarili. Keep safe muna tayo. #kalmaAkoLangTo,” the Palace official wrote as a caption.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) placed Camarines Sur, and Albay under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5.

Signal No. 4 was was hoisted over Metro Manila, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, northern portion of Sorsogon, Burias Island, central and southern portions of Quezon, central and southern portions of Rizal, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Marinduque, northern portion of Romblon, northern portion of Occidental Mindoro, and northern portion of Oriental Mindoro.

Signal No. 3 was raised over the rest of Sorsogon, northern portion of Masbate, including Ticao Island, the rest of Quezon including Polillo Island, the rest of Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, southern portion of Zambales, central portion of Romblon, central portion of Occidental Mindoro, including Lubang Island, central portion of Oriental Mindoro, and Northern Samar.

Aurora, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, the rest of Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, the rest of Oriental Mindoro, the rest of Occidental Mindoro, the rest of Romblon, the rest of Masbate, northern portion of Samar, northern portion of Eastern Samar, extreme northern portion of Antique, and northwestern portion of Aklan were placed under Signal No. 2.

The state weather bureau placed Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Calamian Islands, the rest of the northern portion of Antique, the rest of Aklan, Capiz, northern portion of Iloilo, northern portion of Cebu, including Bantayan Islands, Biliran, the rest of Samar, the rest of Eastern Samar, and northern portion of Leyte.
