Sen. Panfilo Lacson thus scored health secretary Francisco Duque III for Duque’s attempt to cultivate an action man image by enforcing social distancing rules at a mall.
“Hindi trabaho ng Secretary of Health na kukuha ng patpat para sukatin ang distansya ng tao,” Lacson said in an interview with Politiko.
He said Duque’s apparent publicity stunts came after he dropped the ball on government efforts to procure COVID vaccines from the United States.
“He dropped the ball and then he picked up a stick tapos nagsusukat ng distansya. Ano yan? Ang importante vaccine, di ang stick na pangsukat,” Lacson said.
“At trabaho ng pulis yan. Trabaho ng law enforcement ang magsukat at ang mag-violate pwede pagsabihan at arestuhin,” he added.
