Lodi mga yorme! Isko Moreno, Sara Duterte vie for top spot in Pulse Asia’s poll of 2022 VP bets

Two mayors are neck and neck in the race of prospective vice presidential bets as the 2022 election draws closer.

Results of Pulse Asia’s commissioned survey showed Manila Mayor Isko Moreno topping the list of potential vice presidential candidates with a 17% preference rating.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is in close second at 16%, while Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III is in third place at 14%.

Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Senator Manny Pacquiao are tied for the fourth place with an 11% preference rating each.

Senator Bong Go follows in fifth place with a 9% rating. Trailing behind are Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero at 6%, and Taguig Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano at 5%.

Rounding up the survey of prospective vice presidential candidates are Senator Sonny Angara, Public Works Secretary Mark Villar and abogado Chel Diokno, who each have a 2% preference rating.

Pulse Asia conducted the survey from November 23, 2020 until December 2, 2020.

The survey respondents were asked the question, “Of the people on this list, whom would you vote for as vice president of the Philippines if the May 2022 elections were held today and they were the candidates?”

Four percent of those who answered the survey either don’t know whom to choose, refused to answer or did not indicate the name of any candidate.
