Palace says Duterte cursed Tony Leachon several times: Nagnanais lang ng posisyon

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Monday revealed that former National Task Force (NTF) against Covid-19 special adviser Dr. Tony Leachon has been on the receiving end of Duterte curse-laden speeches but were only no longer aired live.

Roque made the statement after Leachon, who left the NTF last June, claimed that the government is still prioritizing vaccines against coronavirus disease with no safety and efficacy data.

“Tatapatin ko na si Dr. Leachon. Na-edit lang po sa mga Talk to the People pero madaming beses na kayo namura ng Presidente. Kasi ang sabi niya kung anu-ano ang sinasabi mo. Yun pala nagnanais ka lang ng posisyon sa gobyerno,” the secretary said in his televised briefing.

“Next time murahin kayo ng Presidente, I will insist it will be shown to the people. Baka akalain niyo natutuwa ang Presidente sa inyo, hindi po,” he added.

NTF Covid-19 chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez, who joined the Palace briefing, echoed Roque, saying that Leachon raised “very questionable” questions.

“Sa NTF, nagsama kami. Mahirap po siyang kasama. May sariling mundo,” he added.
