Palace urges vigilance over ‘Vicky’: Be ready to evacuate if directed

Malacañang urged those who will be hit by typhoon Vicky to be alert and get prepared to evacuate in case it is needed.

“We ask the public, especially those living in the affected areas to stay calm, remain vigilant and be ready to evacuate in case local authorities advise them to do so,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a recent statement.

Roque also urged residents to regularly monitor government advisories and weather updates for more information.

Meanwhile, the Palace official praised local governments of the affected areas for their “timely pro-active preparation” and “readiness” in responding to the effects of Vicky in their localities.

Roque also assured the President continues to monitor developments of the typhoon as concerned government agencies assist areas along the track of the storm.
