Former Senator JV Ejercito is extremely pissed at the man who hit a poor vendor in the face during a recent street clearing operations in Parañaque City.
The senator is so upset that he wants to hit back at the coward who made the kick while the man was lying face down on the ground.
“Sino yang sumipa sa mukha habang nakahiga? Duwag! Pag nakita kita ganyan din gagawin ko sa iyo animal ka!” the former lawmaker tweeted.
Ejercito later apologized for his outrage over the incident. “Sorry for the outrage! But this is very very wrong,” he said.
The former lawmaker watched the viral video on the manhandling of a vendor by members of a task force engaged in street clearing operations in Parañaque. In the video, the vendor was tackled to the ground and handcuffed after reportedly refusing to surrender his kariton. Another man was later seen kicking the vendor in the face.
Ejercito pleaded for a humane treatment of people especially those struggling to cope with the pandemic. He said the kariton was the livelihood of the vendor.
“Laws must be followed but humanity has to take its place in some instances. That kariton is his livelihood,” he said.
