Bulacan sewers receive livelihood assistance from Robredo

Women sewers based in Sta. Maria, Bulacan were among the beneficiaries of a livelihood assistance program launched by Vice President Leni Robredo.

The Vice President turned over the assistance last Wednesday.

Besides the Sta. Maria sewers, the beneficiaries included two urban poor organizations from San Jose del Monte and Meycauayan, according to the Office of the Vice President.

The OVP earlier tapped the sewers to produce personal protective suits for front-liners to provide them a means of earning money during the pandemic.

Robredo’s office has expanded its livelihood assistance program to Metro Manila and adjacent provinces from initially focusing only on far-flung communities.
