Now hiring: TESDA-trained caregivers needed in Israel

By Prince Golez

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) reminded holders of Caregiving National Certificate (NC) II that job opportunities in Israel are still open for application.

November last year, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that 500 Filipino caregivers are needed in Israel under a government-to-government scheme with no placement fee required.

Applicants must at least be a high school graduate and have finished caregiving course, and passed TESDA’s assessment and certification.

They should also be at least 23 years old with a height of at least 4’11” and weight of at least 45 kilograms.

According to the POEA, the contract will be for a maximum of five years with a salary of P75,000 per month.

Other benefits include medical insurance and sick pay, and a suitable living accommodation in the home of Persons With Disabilities for the entire duration of the employment.

Hired applicants, however, will have to shoulder their own airfare and fees in processing the required documents.

Qualified applicants need to register online at https://ift.tt/2NfrAsA.
