Can the 2021 Changan CS75 Plus Change Your Mind About Chinese Compact SUVs?

Changan Motor Philippines Inc. (CMPI), the official distributor of Changan vehicles in the Philippines, introduces the CS75 Plus, a 5-seater compact SUV that can help you change your mind about Chinese compact SUVs.

It starts with its unique body painting technique. It evokes the dynamic flow of liquid metal that is achieved by combining a special aluminum powder and fine pearlescent finish. This goes hand-in-hand with its sinewy look and features such as brilliant LED head- and taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof.

Inside, it is equipped with standout features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a multi-function 12-inch touchscreen multimedia system with smartphone mirroring and video playback capability, and a 360-degree panoramic camera. Moreover, it comes with plush Nappa leather seats, engine push start/stop button, and even a certified N95 air filtration system.

Beyond the tech, the CS75 Plus is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Making 178 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque, it is mated to a 6-speed automatic and comes with a Drive Mode function with driver-selectable modes.

The CS75 Plus also comes with a full suite of active and passive safety features. Standard are the 6-airbag system, ABS with EBD, stability control with hill hold control and hill descent control, and even a tire pressure monitoring system.

Dubbed as Changan’s “Intelligent SUV,” it recently bagged the Supreme Gold Award at the 2019-2020 International CMF Design Awards in China for acing the stringent six-point criteria of “innovation, aesthetics, functionality, landing stability, environment protection, and emotion.”

The Changan CS75 Plus is priced at P 1.299 million and comes standard with a 5-year / 150,000-kilometer warranty. It also comes inclusive with free PMS for the first year or up to 20,000 kilometers.
