President Rodrigo Duterte prefers to get inoculated with the Chinese Sinopharm coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine, Malacañang said Monday.
“[Duterte] has said na his preference is for Sinopharm,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a virtual presser.
The Chief Executive earlier expressed preference for vaccines made by China and Russia.
Early today, the Food and Drug Administration announced that it has granted Sinovac’s Covid-19 vaccine an emergency use authorization, but shots can only be used for clinically healthy members of the community aged 18 to 59 years old.
Duterte is turning 76 this March.
