Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. praised Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto for being recognized by the U.S. State Department as one of its “anti-corruption champions.”
In a tweet, Locsin, a former lawmaker, said the Philippines has a bright future with “bright and hardworking” leaders like Sotto.

The young mayor hugged the limelight of Philippine politics due to his leadership style that was well received by the public, most notably by the youth – that has grown weary of traditional politicians or trapos.
