Grabe! COVID-19 situation in PH getting worse — Trillanes

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is alarmed by the country’s surging cases of coronavirus disease.

Trillanes said the country’s coronavirus situation was getting worse despite the administration’s implementation of a prolonged lockdown. The government also incurred debts as it sought additional loans for the pandemic response, including vaccine procurement.

“Grabe, 7,103 new cases!!!” Trillanes tweeted on Saturday, March 20.

“1 yr na kayo dyan, longest lockdown pa, tapos trillions na ang inutang, lumala pa rin!?!” he said.

On Friday, March 19, the Department of Health announced more than 7,000 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, the biggest single-day increase in infections since the outbreak started last year. This brought the country’s total cases to 648, 066. The number of people who died from coronavirus reached 12,900.
