Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra has expressed concern that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has a total of 45 active cases of the COVID-19 virus.
“We have a total of 45 active cases now, and I’m getting alarmed,” he said.
Just last Friday (March 19), Guevarra was informed that 17 personnel of the DOJ’s Witness Protection Program (WPP) tested positive for COVID-19.
The secretary has already ordered a work suspension at the DOJ from March 19 to 23.
Guevarra said he is considering extending it because of the latest infections.
The secretary issued the work suspension just after implementing a lockdown from March 12 to 16.
