Pacquiao fetes Mommy D, Jinkee on Women’s Day

Senator Manny Pacquiao on Monday advised men to “love their mothers and wives generously and unconditionally” because they will always be the last persons who would abandon you when you are down and out.

The boxer-turned-senator said it was but fitting to pay tribute to all women as the world celebrates International Women’s Day because they play a crucial role in our society.

He highlighted the contributions of his mother and his wife in his journey to become one of the world’s most respected boxers and a Philippine senator.

He said that like his mom and his wife, empowered women around the world have played very crucial roles not only in ensuring the success of their family but also in creating historical turning points that made the world a better place for all of mankind.

“By empowering our women, mankind has achieved so much to give us a better world,” Pacquiao said.

“Women are no longer in the sidelines and are now taking lead roles in many industries, sectors and professions. I’m specially thankful that the Philippines is leading champion in the protection and the advancement of women’s rights,” he said.
