Quarantine passes no longer needed during weeklong ECQ – Roque

By Prince Golez

Quarantine passes will no longer be required during the weeklong enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 4, Malacañang said.

Spokesman Harry Roque yesterday announced that Metro Manila along with the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal will be under ECQ for at least one week due to an increase in Covid-19 cases.

“Ang travel pass po hindi kinakailangan,” Roque said in a virtual presser Saturday.

“Ang problema po kasi isang linggo lang itong ating ECQ so hindi ko po alam kung sapat ang panahon para mag-issue uli ng quarantine passes,” according to him.

Meanwhile, the secretary said residents may still present old quarantine passes when outside homes.

“Kung mayroon naman po kayong quarantine pass na naitago siguro dalhin ninyo na rin po ‘no pero sa ngayon po isang linggo, kung anong mayroon kayo dalhin ninyo. Kung wala naman po, magbigay na lang ng eksplanasyon na bibili lang ng pagkain o ng gamot,” he added.
