It’s Senator Sherwin Gatchalian’s 47th birthday on April 6.
The senator rang in his birthday at home amid the coronavirus pandemic, starting the day with treadmill workout. The bachelor politiko posted on Instagram a mirror selfie at the home gym.
“Starting my birthday with a 5k run,” Gatchalian wrote on Instagram.
His birthday wish? Gatchalian, the eldest of four siblings, is hoping things would go back to normal in the pandemic-weary world.
“My only birthday wish is for all of us get our normal lives back, hopefully soon!” the senator said.
The senator marked his birthday while Metro Manila and four neighboring provinces remained on strict lockdown to suppress the COVID-19 case surge.
In a separate Facebook post, Gatchalian made an appeal for solidarity in the face of challenges in the country. He said people should set aside differences and help each other.
“Sa aking kaarawan, ako po ay nakikiusap sa inyo. Ipagpatuloy po natin ang pagtulong sa kapwa, kalimutan ang hidwaan at manindigan bilang isang nagkakaisang bansa,” he said.
