A low mileage Lancer Evo VI Tommi Makinen Edition owned and maintained by Mitsubishi Motors UK is currently topping £78,000 or about P 5.2 million at auction. This could potentially make it the most expensive Lancer Evolution model sold at auction ever, says Mitsubishi.
To recall, Mitsubishi is closing its operations in the UK, and with that, they’ve decided to let go of their entire heritage collection which includes the Evo VI Tommi Makinen Edition. Aside from this, another Lancer Evolution—an Evo IX MR FQ-360 by HKS is not so far behind at £ 59,000 or about P 3.94 million.
The record price paid for an Evolution IX stands at USD 138,000 or P 6.65 million sold in the US in 2017.
The auction also includes a Mk. 1 Pajero which is currently at £14,000 (P 937,000), a Mitsubishi Jeep J27 at £12,800 (P 856,900), a Mitsubishi Starion at £ 16,600 (P 1.112 million), and a Mitsubishi 3000GT which has attracted a top bid so far of £ 22,700 (P 1.51 million). The Championship-winning Lancer Evolution IX rally car is currently £ 35,600 (P 2.38 million).
The Mitsubishi Heritage Collection auction ends on April 30.
