The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) asked the public to report persons claiming to be prison officers asking for solicitations.
The BuCor made the call after receiving information that “there are certain individuals impersonating BuCor Senior Officers personally calling BuCor Partners or Suppliers seeking for solicitation for future events.”
“Should anyone encounter such transactions of the same manner, kindly report immediately to Bureau of Corrections,” the BuCor said in an advisory dated April 8.
The BuCor informed the public that it has “not authorized any individual to conduct such activity especially using the name of the BuCor Officials.”
“Moreover, there are no personnel allowed to solicit favors and goods on behalf of BuCor,” it stated.
