Malacañang on Monday encouraged overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to get vaccinated in their respective host countries.
In a virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque urged Filipino migrants to continue to wear masks, wash hands and practice physical distancing amid surge in Covid-19 cases abroad.
“Ineengganyo po natin ang ating mga OFWs na magpabakuna rin po kung nasaan man sila. Kasi ang alam ko po ang pagpapabakuna naman eh sinasakop ang lahat. We are not safe until everyone is not safe,” said Roque.
“We ask our OFWs na sumunod dun sa ‘Mask, Hugas, Iwas’ kasi yan lang po talaga ang sandata natin,” he added.
The secretary also said the government is ready to assist those who want to go home.
