Ten more areas have been included among the priorities for the government’s immunization program, Malacañang said Thursday.
These include Bacolod City, Iloilo City, Cagayan de Oro, Baguio City, Zamboanga City, Dumaguete Cty, Tuguegarao City, General Santos City, Naga City, and Legaspi City.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque explained that the cities are currently experiencing a surge of Covid-19 cases.
“Ang naging basehan ay ang tumataas nilang mga kaso o surging cases, ang kanilang pagiging highly urbanized at dense environment at kanilang kontribusyon sa regional or national economy,” Roque said during his televised briefing.
The priority areas previously comprised Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao, Bulacan, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, and Rizal.
