Palace extends condolences to family of ex-president Noynoy Aquino

Malacañang on Thursday condoled with the family of former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, who passed away early Thursday.

“We commiserate and condole with the family and loved ones of former President Benigno Simeon Noynoy Aquino III as we extend our condolences on his untimely demise,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in his virtual presser.

“We’re grateful for the former president for his contribution and services to the country and we ask our people to offer a prayer for the eternal repose of the former chief executive. Rest in peace, Mr. President,” added Roque.

The country’s 15th president from 2010 to 2016 was reportedly brought to the Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City early today where he died.

To recall, Aquino, in 2019, was confined at the Makati Medical Center for a week to undergo a scheduled check-up.
