Roque calls vaccine rollout for A4 group a ‘game changer’

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Monday described the ceremonial vaccination rollout of A4 priority category a “game changer” in the country’s fight against Covid-19.

Roque made the statement in his speech during the NCR+8 Commitment Ceremony and Symbolic Vaccination of A4 held at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

“Ang okasyon pong ito ay hudyat ng simula ng muling pagbabangon ng Pilipinas dahil ang mababakunahan ngayon ay ang ating A4 workforce. Nasa 35 milyon ang bumubuo ng A4 ayon sa estimate ng ating mga ekonomista,” the Palace official said.

The A4 vaccination priority group includes all government and private sector workers, informal sector workers and those working in private households.

“Ang pagbabakuna sa A4 ay masasabi nating game changer sa ating laban dito sa Covid-19. Layunin natin na ligtas na makapaghanapbuhay ang ating mga manggagawa,” according to him.

“Ito rin ang mag sisiguro na kahit nandiyan ang coronavirus ay hindi masisira o matitigil ang serbisyo ng ating pamahalaan,” he added.
