It’s not a usual scene to see the President aiming for another government position at the end of his term, Political Analyst Ramon Casiple bared on Monday.
In the program Balitaan at Kumustahan, Casiple said that despite being an unconventional occurrence, there’s nothing preventing the President from running for another government seat despite his current one.
“Di normal ano kasi ngayon lang yan lumitaw na posibilidad na si Presidente mismo ay tatakbo ulit iba nga lang posisyon,” Casiple said.
“Kung posibilidad lang naman kasi, wala namang nagpreprevent sa Constitution ano, na tumakbo halimbawa sa ibang position bawal lang siya sa Constitution tumakbo bilang presidente ulit,” he added.
Duterte has recently aired the possibility of his vice presidential bid in the May elections which he claims would protect him from being held legally accountable for wrongdoing.
“Hindi kasi usually kasama sa mga nagplaplano ng susunod na eleksyon ang isang presidente given yung pawala na siya pwesto,” Casiple explained.
