Malacañang assured Filipinos that President Rodrigo Duterte is well despite losing his balance while walking to the podium to deliver his State of the Nation Address Monday.
In an interview with GMA-7’s Unang Hirit, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte, who is a senior citizen, has no “extraordinary problem.”
“Alam ninyo, wala naman po siyang extra ordinary na problema ‘no. He is who is, he is a senior citizen at mukhang nadulas lang naman siya kahapon,” Roque said Tuesday.
“I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, kung ang iniisip ng taumbayan ay iyong kanyang kalusugan. Parang nadulas lang talaga siya kahapon,” he added.
Duterte’s health has always been subject of speculation. He previously admitted having Barrett’s esophagus, Buerger’s Disease, and myasthenia gravis, a chronic neuromuscular disorder.
