President Rodrigo Duterte launched a fresh tirade against Senator Dick Gordon, calling the lawmaker a “despot” and “pathological storyteller.”
Duterte once again criticized Gordon, the chairperson of the Blue Ribbon Committee investigating the alleged overpriced Covid-19 pandemic supplies, for not allowing witnesses to complete their answer.
“I’d like to address myself to other senators. It might seem that we are egging for a fight with you. We are not. Ang problema diyan ‘yung blue ribbon, ang chairman is a despot,” the Chief Executive said in a pre-recorded public address aired on Thursday.
“He does not allow anybody to answer and he cuts the testimony of even the COA. Nakinig man ako. Anong klaseng tao ito? He talks and talks and talks. He cannot help but open his mouth. He is a pathological storyteller,” he also said.
Duterte also mocked Gordon’s accent.
“Si Gordon pa-ingles-ingles. Yung Ingles mo hindi naman naiintindihan ng lahat. Kung mag-ingles ka, Pilipino na ingles, hindi slurred. Para kang lasing,” he added.
