Presidente Duterte has expressed his support to the advocacies of the Advocates and Keepers Organization of OFWs Inc. (AKO-OFW).
Founded by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Board of Trustee Dr. Celerino “Chie” Umandap, the group is known to extend assistance to distressed OFWs abroad.
According to Coco Naik, Vice Chairman for Political Affairs and DWDD radio broadcaster, he was able to speak to the President and relayed the group’s plans to him which he fully supported.
Naik said his conversation with the President was made possible when he was in Davao City recently.
Recently, around 2,000 residents from two barangays in Pasay City benefited from a feeding program conducted by AKO-OFW in partnership with the Lingkod Loren program.
