The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases will release the guidelines on the use of face shield “as soon as possible,” Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said Sunday.
Lopez told Dobol B TV that the guidelines are awaiting the approval of the IATF.
“Kahapon o isang araw, may inaprubahan na kami na guidelines. So, ilalabas na po ‘yun as soon as possible. Pinaaprubahan lang sa IATF,” the secretary said.
“Kung hindi ngayon baka bukas mai-announce na yung guidelines,” he added.
In his “Talk to the People” address Wednesday, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that face shields will only be worn in closed and crowded places, and close contact settings.
