President Rodrigo Duterte expressed positive views on the proposal to implement face-to-face classes in areas with low risk of COVID-19 transmission, Malacañang said Monday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte greenlighted the pilot testing of in-person learning, albeit on a “very limited basis.”
“Nag-report po si (Education) Secretary (Leonor) Briones kay presidente at si presidente naman po ay positive ang kanyang reaction doon sa possibility na magkakaroon tayo ng pilot study on a very limited basis,” Roque said in a virtual presser.
The secretary said only 150 schools will re-open for face-to-face classes.
Pero antayin natin ang pinal na desisyon,” he also said.
