Malacañang on Monday congratulated Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo for bagging two medals during the 2021 All-Japan Seniors and Masters Gymnastics Championships.
Yulo won gold medal in the floor exercise and bronze in vault on Thursday in Japan.
“Binabati natin si Carlos Yulo sa karangalang kanyang binigay sa bansa dahil siya ay nagwagi ng dalawang medalya – gold in floor exercise and bronze in vault sa 2021 All-Japan Seniors and Masters Gymnastics Championships,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a virtual presser.
“Salamat at congratulations, Carlos. Mabuhay ang galing ng atletang Pilipino,” added Roque.
Yulo was among the Filipino athletes who represented the Philippines at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He finished fourth overall in the men’s vault finals.
