Alert level system to be expanded outside Metro Manila starting Oct. 20: Palace

The Covid-19 alert level system will be expanded outside the National Capital Region beginning tomorrow, October 20, Malacañang announced Tuesday.

During his virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has placed Negros Oriental, Davao Occidental under Alert 4.

Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Siquijor, Davao City and Davao del Norte will be under Alert Level 2, according to Roque.

The secretary added that Alert Level 2 will be enforced in Batangas, Quezon province, Lucena City, Bohol, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Cebu province, Davao de Oro, Davao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.
