The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has supported the decision of local government units (LGUs) in the country to close public and private cemeteries, and memorial parks, including columbaria during Undas this year.
Various mayors across the country ordered the closure of all cemeteries from October 30 until November 2 to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
During the Laging Handa briefing Monday, DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya encouraged the public to visit their dead loved ones before or after Undas.
