All female inmates of the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, the Bureau of Corrections said.
The BuCor said the only 92 female inmates who remain unvaccinated have received shots last Wednesday (Sept. 29).
“On September 29, 2021, 92 shots of AstraZeneca were successfully given to PDL of the Correctional Institution for Women,” it said in a statement.
Prior to this, the BuCor said there were 3,100 female inmates of the CIW who got inoculated against the virus.
Aside from the CIW, the BuCor previously said inmates who got vaccinated included 214 at the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) and 60 at Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF).
