Retired military general Antonio Parlade is earning praises from a religious leader after writing two books denouncing the communist terrorists in the country.
Pastor Apollo Quiboloy has recommended Parlade’s latest anti-communist books, saying these are must-read books for Filipinos. The former military officer, known for his hardline stance against communist rebels, is also praised by Quiboloy for his courage and patriotism.
The two books written by Parlade are titled “Inside the Mind of the General who Cannot Be Defeated by Communist Terrorists” and “The Power of Narrative Warfare to Destroy the Communist Terrorist Gambit.” Each book costs P730.
“Congratulations and thank you, General Antonio Parlade for such insightful and incisive books that every Filipino must read,” Quiboloy said on Facebook.
“Your boldness, courage and love for country are worth emulating,” he said.
Quiboloy also commended Parlade and other patriots, saying they are “heroes” for taking up the cudgels for victims of violence and injustice.
“This #LabanKasamaAngBayan is worth the tears, sweat and blood that all of us who dearly love our Motherland shed on the altar of genuine and lasting freedom. After 52 long years of communist terrorism, our Beloved Philippines has finally seen the light. Kudos and mabuhay!” Quiboloy said.
Parlade, former spokesman of a government task force in charge of ending the local communist insurgency, retired from the military service last July. Prior to his retirement, he headed the military’s Southern Luzon command.
Last September, President Duterte appointed Parlade, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1987, as Deputy Director-General of the National Security Council.
