Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo has thrown his hat into the political ring.
Tulfo, a frontrunner in recent senatorial surveys, filed on Saturday his certificate of candidacy to become a senator in the 2022 elections at the Commission on Elections. He will run as an independent candidate for lawmaker.
Tulfo, a popular broadcaster, hosts a public affairs program on social media. He has over 21 million followers on YouTube. On Facebook, his followers reached more than 18 million.
Tulfo is reportedly among the senatorial contenders included in President Duterte’s personal list for the 2022 elections.
