Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo claims he’s not actively seeking donors for his senatorial run—even if the campaign is expected to cost tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of pesos.
Tulfo said Monday (October 18) that his earnings from YouTube and endorsements are enough to bankroll his campaign.
The tough-talking broadcaster is one of the most popular Filipino personalities on YouTube, with his channel, Raffy Tulfo in Action, having 21.8 million subscribers. He said in 2020 that he had earned over P2 billion from the platform.
The 61-year-old media personality said he also saved enough from working at TV5 to pay for his campaign expenses and ensure there’s money left for his family even after the 2022 elections end.
Meron pa ring natitira para sa kampanya,” he said.
Tulfo has consistently topped voter preference surveys on possible senatorial contenders. Though running as an independent, he has been included as a guest candidate in the Lacson-Sotto and Pacquiao-Atienza senatorial slates.
