Tatakbo na ba? Sara Duterte, Bongbong Marcos bond with Garcias in Cebu

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio is seen together with presidential aspirant former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in another social event in Cebu province.

The two politikos paid a visit to Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and her family in their cozy home while traveling to the vote-rich province over the weekend. They were invited to dine with the Garcias, an influential political clan in Cebu.

“Maraming salamat po sa aking spokesperson, Liloan Mayor Christina Garcia-Frasco at Cong. Duke Frasco sa pag-imbita niyo para sa dinner ngayong gabi. Salamat Gov. Gwen sa mainit na pagtanggap sa amin ni Sir BBM,” Mayor Sara said on Facebook.

Duterte and Marcos were first seen reunited at the birthday party for Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez, wife of House Majority Martin Romuladez. The House leader is Bongbong’s cousin.

The Duterte-Marcos reunion in Cebu fueled speculations on whether the President’s daughter is finally considering a possible presidential run in 2022. Mayor Sara earlier decided to seek reelection despite the mounting clamor from supporters to seek the country’s top office.

Mayor Sara, on her second term as Davao City mayor, is frontrunner in the presidential surveys. Marcos, on the other hand, came second in the opinion polls.
