President Rodrigo Duterte will attend the the upcoming virtual summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) on November 12, his spokesman said Tuesday.
“Inaasahang dadalo via video conferencing ang Pangulo sa Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation o APEC sa November 12,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in televised briefing.
Roque said Duterte is expected to join two sessions during the summit to be hosted by New Zealand.
“Kasama sa kanyang schedule ang pagdalo sa opening ceremonies, ang pagdalo niya sa session ng ‘Global Economic Outlook: Presentation by the International Monetary Fund’, and pagdalo sa session ng ‘Recovering from Covid-19 Build Prosperity for All our People and Future Generations, at ang pagdalo sa ‘Handover of APEC Chairing to Thailand’,” according to him.
“Sasama rin po siya doon sa closing ceremonies,” he added.
