Senator Risa Hontiveros made the appeal after falling victim to a fake food delivery.
The senator shared on Twitter that a food delivery amounting to P18,300 was falsely made to her office at the Senate in Pasay City. The food was ordered from Rico’s lechon restaurant.
Hontiveros suspected the fake food delivery was the brainchild of her opponents. She appealed to the food delivery scammers to spare the local businesses and riders from their pranks.
“PROTECT LOCAL BUSINESSES! May bagong modus ang mga gustong manira sa atin. Magpapanggap na ako, at mag-oorder ng nakapangalan sa akin at sa address ng opisina ko,” she tweeted.
“Kawawa ang mga negosyante, mga empleyado, at mga delivery riders na inaagrabrayado,” she said.
Hontiveros shared screenshots of the fraudulent lechon delivery from the local restaurant she did not order. She admitted though that lechon from Cebu is among her favorites.
“Shout out narin sa Rico’s Lechon! Paborito ko pa naman ang lechon Cebu,” she tweeted.
