Former House Speaker and incumbent Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano reminded the voters the biblical principle “Kung ano’ng ating itatanim, ‘yan din ang ating aanihin” in choosing who to vote in the upcoming elections.
Cayetano said regular face-to-face and one-on-one debates would be a great help for the public to know the candidates.
“Wag muna tayong humusga [at] ‘wag nating buuin na ayaw natin sa isang tao o gustong gusto natin sa isang tao, kasi sa katotohanan, I think wala pang five percent ng plataporma at pagkatao ng kandidato [ang] lumalabas,” Cayetano said.
Cayetano has been pushing for a series of debates among candidates for president, vice president, and senators.
He is running as an independent candidate for senator and has promised to bring with him a faith-based and values-oriented leadership that would address issues such as online gambling as well as the 10K Ayuda economic stimulus.
