Palace reminds public: Only health workers, seniors, immunocompromised can get booster shots for now

Malacañang on Tuesday reiterated that Covid-19 booster shots are not yet recommended to the general public.

“Paalala lamang, hindi pa nirerekomenda ang additional or booster doses sa general population,” acting presidential spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said in a virtual presser.

Nograles said only fully vaccinated medical frontliners, seniors citizens and immunocompromised persons can avail of additional or booster shots for now.

As of November 22, a total of 76.52 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered nationwide.

Of this, 42.63 million have received at least their first dose while 33.85 million are fully vaccinated against the virus.
