The Philippine government targets to inoculate seven million people against Covid-19 during the second round of the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” in mid-December, Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III said.
The second run of the vaccination drive was set on December 15 to 17.
“Ang tinatarget natin dito mga 7 million para second dose para maabot ang ating pinupunteryang 54 million by the end of the year mabigyan ng kumpletong bakuna,” Duque said during a Laging Handa public briefing Tuesday.
A total of 8.01 million doses were administered during the first round of the mass vaccination drive from November 29 to December 1.
The extended mass national vaccination days on December 2 and 3, on one hand, was able to inoculate close to 2 million individuals.
