Unified 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew in NCR

By Prince Golez

Metro Manila mayors have agreed to impose a “unified” curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m, Malacañang said Wednesday.

“I understand that the mayors voted and there was a majority that the curfew hours should be 8 (p.m.) to 5 (a.m.),” Roque said in a television interview.

On Monday, the President eased quarantine restrictions in Metro Manila after being placed under modified enhanced community quarantine for two weeks to give exhausted healthcare workers in the capital region their much-needed break.

More businesses are allowed to operate under general community quarantine.

As of August 18, coronavirus cases in the Philippines stood at 169,213, with 112,861 recoveries and 2,687 fatalities.
