The national government has approved the requests of Region 6, Lanao del Sur, and Iligan City to suspend the repatriation of locally stranded individuals, according to Malacañang.
The new travel restriction was contained in Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 69 issued Monday.
“The requests of Region VI, and the Provinces of Iligan and Lanao del Sur to suspend the inbound travel of locally stranded individuals, as recommended by the National Chief Implementer of the Philippines’ Declared National Policy Against Covid-19 are hereby approved,” the resolution read.
Lanao del Sur and Iligan City have been reverted to modified enhanced community quarantine due to rising coronavirus cases.
Western Visayas, on one hand, has required quarantine and testing for all all residents and overseas Filipino returning home.
