Palace rejects claims LGUs are being forced to declare Reds persona non grata: Walang humahanga sa terorista

By Prince Golez

MalacaƱang on Tuesday rejected the claim made by communist rebels that the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) urged local governments to declare members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) in their localities.

Ang tawag nga nila sa CPP-NPA terorista,” according to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

The Interior department earlier said a total of 1,546 LGUs nationwide have declared CPP-NPA-NDF persona non grata. The CPP, however, alleged that LGUs were just forced to make such a declaration out of fear of not getting proper budget.
