The government’s coronavirus (Covid-19) task force has approved the request of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to conduct licensure examinations from May to June this year.
On Friday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, however, said the decision is subject to the health protocols as prescribed by the Department of Health.
“Inaprubahan din po ng IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases) ang request ng Professional Regulation Commission na magsagawa ng licensure examinations for professionals sa Mayo at Hunyo ngayon taon habang istriktong ipinatutupad ang health protocols ng Department of Health,” Roque said in an interview with PTV4.
Roque said the IATF discouraged those coming from general community quarantine (MGCG) to travel to areas under modified GCQ to prevent transmission of Covid-19.
“Ang kukuha ng exam na nanggagaling sa mga lugar na general community quarantine ay hindi hinikayat na bumyahe sa mga lugar na modified GCQ para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng Covid-19,” according to him.
