Nag-iingat lang! Palace sorry for slow ‘ayuda’ rollout

By Prince Golez

Malacañang on Monday apologized for the slow rollout of government assistance for those who had been displaced during the two-week enhanced community quarantine in the National Capital Region and four nearby provinces.

During his televised briefing, Spokesman Harry Roque sought public understanding, saying that the strict observance of protocols contributed to delays in the distribution of aid.

“The enemy thrives in yung kumpul-kumpulan.

The government’s latest financial assistance entitles each recipient to receive P1,000 or up to P4,000 per family either in cash or in-kind.

Beneficiaries of earlier social amelioration programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development will be prioritized as beneficiaries of this cash aid.
