How about checking another name? Guevarra: Peter Lim still in PH based on BI records

Bureau of Immigration (BI) records show that suspected drug lord Peter Lim is still in the country, Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Monday (June 28).

Guevarra disclosed this amid suspicions raised by Interior Secretary Eduardo Ano that the wanted suspected drug lord is no longer in the Philippines.

“Per BI records, there is no record of departure by Peter Go Lim,” Guevarra said.

“His last recorded foreign travel was in 2017,” he added.

Aside from this, Guevarra said Lim’s passport expired already in 2019.

However, Guevarra admitted that this is no assurance that Lim, who is the subject of arrest warrants issued by the courts where he is facing drug charges, is still in the country.

“We cannot really be sure. Our country has a very extensive coastline. There are known backdoors in our southern borders,” the secretary lamented.
