Roque says mother inspired him to push for universal health care: ‘Para sa’yo ‘to, Mommy!’

By Prince Golez

Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque’s mother was his inspiration in pushing for Universal Health Law in the Philippines.

The health condition of his mother inspired him to advocate for and support the passage of the universal healthcare (UHC) act, Roque said in a video, entitled “Inspirasyon,” uploaded to YouTube.

The former Kabayan party-list representative was among the principal authors of the UHC Bill in Congress.

I love you wherever you are,” he added.

Under UHC law, all Filipinos are guaranteed affordable and quality health care goods and services, and protected against financial risk.
