The government has not given a go-signal for Covid-19 booster shots, according to Malacañang.
Many Filipinos have not yet gotten their Covid-19 shots, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing Tuesday.
“Tandaan din po natin na na wala pong booster muna ha. Marami pa po tayong mga kababayan na kailangan mabukanahan,” said Roque.
“Sa mga nabakunahan na, ‘wag naman natin i-deprive yung hindi pa natuturukan ng Covid-19 vaccine. Maawa naman po tayo sa kanila. Ubusin muna natin ang hanay ng ating kababayan. Bakunahan natin ang lahat bago tayo magisip ng booster,” he added.
The secretary earlier said the country has set aside P45.37 billion for booster shots in the proposed 2022 national budget.
