The House of Representatives has adopted the amendments made by the Senate on the measure clarifying the income taxation of proprietary educational institutions.
The plenary approved the adoption of amendments to House Bill 9913 via voice voting.
Under the measure, a 1% tax rate will be imposed on private schools from July 1, 2020 until June 30, 2023.
Afterwards, the rate will be reverted to 10% of the taxable income.
The copy of the measure will be sent to Malacañang for the President’s signature.
